Libya has concluded its participation in the 20th edition of the Mediterranean Games (Taranto 2026) by winning three silver medals, at the conclusion of the competitions that took place on Thursday evening.
The three medals were won by Mohamed Al-Zantani, who secured two silver medals in weightlifting, and Mohamed Abudabbous, who won a silver medal in karate.
Abudabbous carried the Libyan flag during the traditional parade of delegations at the closing ceremony, in recognition of his achievements at the Games.
The ceremony witnessed the handover of the Mediterranean Games flag to Pristina, Kosovo, which is preparing to host the next edition in 2030.
