Libya, UK discuss expanding healthcare cooperation
Health Minister Mohamed Al-Ghouj met with British Ambassador Martin Reynolds in Tripoli to discuss expanding cooperation in the healthcare sector and drawing on British expertise to support the development of Libya’s health system.
The talks focused on strengthening collaboration in priority areas, including improving healthcare services, building the capacity of the national workforce, and transferring international expertise and best practices.
The two sides also explored partnerships with British academic and healthcare institutions to support training and professional development, improve the management and operation of healthcare facilities, promote local pharmaceutical manufacturing, and advance Libya’s health insurance system.
