Libya, Syria UN envoys discuss political developments
Libya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Taher El-Sonni, has held talks with his Syrian counterpart, Ambassador Ibrahim Olabi, on the latest political developments and ways to strengthen coordination between their missions.
El-Sonni said in a post on social media on Monday that the meeting discussed building on the “strong relations” between the two countries and cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
He clarified that the talks followed a recent visit by a Syrian ministerial delegation to Libya.
