Libya deports 24 Chadian nationals after court rulings

Libyan authorities have deported 24 Chadian nationals after they were sentenced by the courts to be expelled from the country.

The Judicial Police’s Deportation and Repatriation Department said the operation was carried out on Friday in coordination with the Foreign Ministry’s Consular Affairs Department and the Interior Ministry’s Passports and Nationality Authority.

The Justice Ministry said the deportations were part of efforts to enforce court rulings, regulate the status of foreign residents, combat illegal migration and strengthen border controls.
