Libya condemns ‘Somaliland embassy’ move in Al-Quds

Libya’s foreign ministry has strongly condemned  ‘Somaliland’s’ move to open a so-called embassy in occupied Al-Quds, calling it a violation of international law.

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said the step undermines the legal and historical status of Al-Quds and attempts to impose an unlawful reality through unilateral measures.

The ministry reiterated Libya’s position that East Al-Quds has been occupied since 1967 and that its status cannot be changed by illegitimate decisions.

It also reaffirmed Libya’s support for the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia, rejecting any actions that could threaten its stability.
