Libyan Suleiman Habrishah has been elected president of the Arab Mini-Football Federation for a four-year term during elections held via Zoom, with representatives from 12 Arab countries participating.
The election of Habrisha as president of the Arab Mini-Football Federation is unprecedented in the federation’s history and reflects the growing presence of Libyan sports professionals and personnel in leadership positions within Arab sports federations and organizations.
Following this election, the Arab Federation’s headquarters are expected to be moved from Egypt to Libya. Libya is also slated to host several tournaments and competitions included in the federation’s new sports season programme, with the participation of national teams and clubs from the 17 member Arab states.
