The Minister of State for Prime Minister and Cabinet Affairs, Mohamed Ben Ghalboun, held a meeting yesterday with the Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Serbia, Jagoda Lazarević, who is visiting Tripoli, and her accompanying delegation.
The meeting, which was also attended by several heads of executive bodies, focused on prospects for strengthening economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. Emphasis was placed on the importance of Libya’s participation in the Serbia Expo, which would allow for showcasing available investment and trade opportunities.
The meeting also addressed ways to activate the Libyan-Serbian Joint Committee, aiming to develop avenues for bilateral cooperation and follow up on economic issues of mutual interest. Furthermore, an agreement was reached to proceed with the establishment and activation of the Libyan-Serbian Chamber of Commerce to support communication between the private sectors of both countries.
The two sides also discussed mechanisms to facilitate the entry of Serbian companies into the Libyan market and to enhance investment partnerships across various sectors, thereby bolstering economic cooperation and opening new horizons for trade between the two nations.
