Liberia’s Deputy Speaker Fallah Apologizes After Criticizing Boss

Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah has issued a public apology to Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon and members of the House of Representatives after comments he made during a radio interview. Fallah said Koon has not previously served in leadership roles – a statement that prompted House members to call for an investigation of the deputy Speaker.

“I wish to state clearly that my comments on Spoon Talk regarding my friend, Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, were made in good faith and without any intent to mislead, malign, or undermine. I hereby retract them and offer my sincere apology,” Fallah said.
