RIYADH: Saudi aid agency Ksrelief carried out humanitarian activities in Gaza, Afghanistan Yemen with the provision of emergency shelter, food and medical services to affected individuals and families.
At the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, dozens of Palestinian families received emergency shelters after their tents were destroyed, leaving them exposed to the elements for hours.
The Saudi aid agency also distributed 24,500 hot meals earlier this week in the central and southern Gaza Strip.
In Afghanistan’s Ghor Province, 950 boxes containing food essentials were handed out to returnees from neighboring countries, displaced persons, people in need and orphans.
In Yemen, the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Taiz has served 8,050 beneficiaries through KSrelief’s eighth phase of its project to provide prosthetic limbs and physical rehabilitation services for patients with various mobility impairments via the center.
Over the past 12 months, the project manufactured 300 new upper- and lower-limb prostheses, provided physical rehabilitation services to 3,900 beneficiaries, and delivered technical rehabilitation and maintenance services to 700 beneficiaries.
The center also offered medical and technical consultations to 3,100 beneficiaries. It also generated 50 employment opportunities for local staff.
