The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has expressed deep concern and condemnation over the recent surge of violence in Niger State, attributed to both bandits and vigilante groups.

In response to troubling media reports and widely circulated videos showcasing brutality, KACRAN has called for an immediate cessation of hostilities from all parties involved.

The association’s statement highlights the painful reality faced by innocent citizens who have suffered merciless killings, arson, and destruction of property as a result of these violent clashes.

KACRAN emphasized that these unlawful actions have left thousands homeless and devastated families, jeopardizing the longstanding peace and trust within communities.

In its position, KACRAN has issued direct appeals to bandits and vigilante groups, urging them to abandon their violent ways and embrace dialogue.

They caution that continued violence will only lead to greater insecurity and harm the societal fabric crucial for development.

KACRAN also commended the Governor of Niger State, Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, for his steadfast and people-oriented efforts toward restoring peace and enhancing agricultural transformation in the region.

The association appreciates his commitment to justice and investments in large-scale agricultural projects aimed at strengthening national food security.

Furthermore, KACRAN has made passionate appeals to the Governor to establish designated Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps and provide necessary relief materials for those affected by violence.

They emphasized the urgency of addressing the plight of displaced individuals currently seeking refuge.

In conclusion, KACRAN has called upon the Federal Government and other state governors to adopt a similar approach to Governor Bago’s leadership by prioritizing peacebuilding and fair treatment of all citizens.

The association maintains that lasting peace is essential for the well-being of Niger State and Nigeria as a whole.
