Jambojet set to resume Uganda flights after six years

East Africa’s aviation market is gaining momentum as airlines expand capacity and reconnect regional routes, with air travel increasingly important to tourism and business across the bloc. Domestic routes continue to account for the largest share of African air traffic, while regional connectivity is also strengthening. Against that backdrop, Kenyan low-cost carrier Jambojet is preparing to return to Uganda nearly six years after suspending its Entebbe service. The airline plans daily flights, strengthening links between Uganda and Kenya and giving travellers easier access to destinations including Nairobi and the Kenyan coast. Kamana Ivan Walunyolo reports.
