“We’re missing something…” “Everybody’s watching.” “I know the stakes.” The truth will be revealed. TNT has revealed an official trailer for a new mini-series titled High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam, a sharp and critical look at the Iraq War and America’s mistakes. This is ready to watch starting September – originally airing as a TNT special presentation before it’s likely on HBO Max later this year. Inspired by the memoir “Debriefing the President” by CIA Analyst John Nixon, the eight-episode political thriller chronicles one man’s relentless pursuit of truth amid a nation’s complicated quest for justice. The very first American to interrogate Saddam Hussein slowly starts to realize that the US invasion of Iraq is not as cut and dry, nor its outlook as positive, as Washington believes. With Joel Kinnaman as John Nixon & Waleed Zuaiter as Saddam Hussein, plus a cast featuring Lena Gora, Rebecca Night, Ewan Miller, Tom Berenger, Matt Barr, Paul Ryan, Christopher McDonald, Dar Salim, and Talia Balsam. Of course everything is being made for TV/streaming nowadays, but this looks like it would be better as a movie not a series. And more people might see it that way. It looks really intense! Might actually be worth a watch when it airs soon.
