Iraq debuts first tech pavilion at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) — For the first time, Iraqi technology and digital enterprises will exhibit in a dedicated national pavilion at Saudi Arabia’s LEAP 2026, providing a new platform for Iraq’s developing tech industry to seek collaborations and investment from Saudi Arabia and the broader Gulf.

The Iraq Pavilion will be held from August 31 to September 3 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, bringing together Iraqi enterprises in artificial intelligence, fintech, digital transformation, logistics, media, and technology services in one location.

The premiere is noteworthy for Iraq’s young technology economy, as LEAP has grown into one of the region’s biggest meetings of technology businesses, entrepreneurs, and investors.

This year’s event is expected to draw more than 201,000 people, including 1,800 global technology companies, 600 startups, and 1,900 investors.

The Iraqi delegation includes Media World, part of March Holding, alongside Nass Al Iraq Holding, Digital Transformation Company (DTC), NAI, Theki Tech, Qafiya Creative Agency, Daman Digital Platform, Zaeem Express Delivery, Advenature, MATIC, Rabee Securities and Dofied.

The companies represent an expanding Iraqi private sector.

Nass Al Iraq Holding’s activities include telecoms, digital transformation, real estate, and advertising, with its technology subsidiary DTC focusing on digital transformation and Theki Tech providing infrastructure and smart-building technologies.

Media World links digital content suppliers with telecom carriers in regional markets, while NAI concentrates on business-oriented artificial intelligence solutions.

Qafiya provides advertising and creative services.

Financial technologies will also be significant.

Rabee Securities, one of Iraq’s biggest securities brokerage firms, has worked on key Iraq Stock Exchange listings, and Dofied is creating digital cash-collecting systems to replace paper-based records.

Meanwhile, Zaeem Express symbolizes Iraq’s fast-increasing logistics and e-commerce infrastructure, with its delivery network delivering over 50,000 packages each day throughout the nation, according to pavilion information.

The participation of LEAP investors might make the event more valuable for Iraqi entrepreneurs seeking Gulf finance and regional partners. T

he conference offers specific startup and investor programs that link entrepreneurs with possible investors and firms looking for new markets.

The pavilion also comes as Iraq’s and Saudi Arabia’s economic ties expand beyond their usual emphasis on oil and government-to-government collaboration.

Bringing Iraqi technology businesses directly into Riyadh’s economic ecosystem might assist in strengthening linkages in AI, finance, logistics, digital services, and venture capital.

For Baghdad, luring Saudi and other GCC funds into technology would help diversify an economy that is still largely reliant on oil and generate more chances for Iraq’s private sector.

Tahaluf organizes LEAP 2026, which is currently in its fifth edition, with support from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones. Saudi officials see the event as a key component of the kingdom’s efforts to transform Riyadh into a global technology and investment powerhouse.

The Iraqi Pavilion will be in Hall 3, Booth H3.G160, for the duration of the four-day event.
