Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran has not yet decided whether to resume negotiations with the United States. According to him, no decision has yet been made on returning to dialogue.

Contacts through Qatar and Pakistan
Araghchi clarified that Qatar and Pakistan continue to maintain contact with Tehran and convey messages between the parties. At the same time, he stressed that such contacts do not mean the start of full-fledged negotiations between Iran and the United States.
The Iranian minister linked the refusal to engage in dialogue to Washington’s actions. In his view, the United States violated the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, which provided for a cessation of hostilities, and then resumed strikes.

Iran-Oman consultations on the Strait of Hormuz
At the same time, Iran is holding technical consultations with Oman focused on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The parties are considering options for new shipping routes, as the previous routes, according to Araghchi, are no longer operational.
Experts and military representatives from both countries are involved in these discussions. The minister emphasized that the issue of shipping routes should not be linked to the possible resumption of transit through the strait.
According to Araghchi, the decision to reopen the Strait of Hormuz will depend on whether the United States meets other conditions put forward by Tehran.
