Interpol-Wanted Danish National Arrested in Tangier Over Murder, Kidnapping

Casablanca – Moroccan authorities have arrested a 28-year-old Danish national of Israeli origin in Tangier after authorities determined that he was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Denmark over several serious criminal offenses.

The arrest was carried out on Saturday, September 12, following intelligence provided by Morocco’s General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST).

Police identified the suspect in Tangier and checked his details against Interpol databases, confirming that he was wanted internationally under a Red Notice circulated by Denmark’s National Central Bureau in Copenhagen.

Wanted over multiple offenses

The Danish national is wanted in connection with allegations involving drug trafficking, intentional homicide, kidnapping, and unlawful detention involving violence, according to preliminary information from the investigation.

Moroccan authorities said the suspect is considered among the individuals most sought by law enforcement in the Scandinavian region, particularly in Denmark.

Following his arrest, the suspect was placed in police custody pending his presentation before the competent public prosecutor’s office.

Morocco’s Interpol office in Rabat, which operates under the DGSN’s National Central Bureau, has also notified its Danish counterpart of the arrest to facilitate the necessary procedures between the two countries.

The arrest reflects ongoing cooperation between Moroccan and international law enforcement agencies in tracking down individuals wanted across borders.
