Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das has been ruled out of the remaining matches of the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe after failing to recover from a hamstring injury.
The batter was unavailable for the opening one-day international on July 6, and medical assessments have confirmed that he will also miss the final two fixtures of the three-match series. Litton will remain in Dhaka to continue his rehabilitation.
Bangladesh team physiotherapist Baizid Islam Khan said Litton underwent a fitness test but was still not ready for competitive cricket.
He explained that the results of the assessment were unsatisfactory and, with the remaining matches scheduled within a short period, the batter is unlikely to regain full match fitness before the series concludes.
