Scotland play their first World Cup game in 28 years as Steve Clarke’s side face Haiti in their Group C opener in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The Scots, whose last appearance at a World Cup came in 1998, will face Haiti, Morocco and Brazil in Group C this summer.
Clarke’s men, who topped their qualifying group ahead of Denmark and Greece, will be well aware that Haiti are expected to finish bottom of the group, so the clash in Boston is a good opportunity to get three points on the board as well as boost their goal difference.
Scotland failed to win a group game in their last World Cup appearance in 1998 but they’ll fancy their chances of getting a couple of decent results with the likes of Scott McTominay and John McGinn leading them this summer.
Haiti, who are ranked 83rd in the FIFA rankings, are making their second World Cup appearance and their first since 1974. They’ve only ever played three games in the competition and they’ve lost all of them.
