The national airport authority of Haiti, Autorité A Réportuaire Nationale (AAN), received two Striker 6×6 ARFF vehicles from Oshkosh Airport Products. The new cars help with emergency response activities at Cap-Haïtien International Airport and Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince.
In addition to modernizing Haiti’s airport firefighting fleet and strengthening Oshkosh’s position in the nation, the delivery signifies a renewed cooperation between Oshkosh Airport Products and the country’s aviation authority.
High-capacity firefighting systems, quick reaction acceleration, and outstanding off-road capability are just a few of the 6×6 vehicles’ robust performance in harsh environments.
Key features include:
- TAK-4 Independent Suspension
- Oshkosh Eco-EFP Foam System
- High-output roof and bumper turrets
- Rear steer capability
- Outstanding acceleration and pump performance
“This delivery highlights our commitment to supporting customers around the world,” said Robert Colon, associate manager of international sales, Oshkosh Airport Products. “Working closely with our partners, we were able to navigate logistical challenges to deliver critical Striker ARFF capabilities to strengthen aviation safety and emergency readiness in Haiti.”
To guarantee a seamless transition into operation, Oshkosh Airport Products collaborated with its dealer ATEPSA in Québec, Canada, whose staff carried out on-site commissioning and training in Haiti. Oshkosh Airport Products coordinated delivery, commissioning, and training with AAN and its partners to guarantee that both airports have dependable Striker ARFF vehicles that can meet demanding operational requirements.
