Georgian Prime Minister calls China an exemplary country

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that China is an “exemplary country” and a “global peaceful superpower” committed to strengthening international cooperation and stability. The politician emphasized that peace and stability are among the primary principles uniting Georgia and the PRC.

Speaking at a formal event marking the end of the diplomatic mission of Chinese Ambassador to Georgia Zhou Qian, Kobakhidze thanked the Chinese leadership for its steadfast support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.

According to the head of government, Tbilisi highly values Beijing’s approach to Georgia as an equal and respected partner — particularly at a time when international relations, as he put it, are often built on double standards.

“These tangible results demonstrate that our partnership brings real benefits to both sides. We especially appreciate that China consistently views Georgia as an equal and respected partner. At a time when international relations are often characterized by double standards, such an approach deserves special respect.

…I wish you success in your future endeavors and hope that Georgia will always remain a country you remember with warmth,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze.
