Football enthusiasts have expressed deep frustration following the postponement of the highly anticipated Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 2 derby between Ikorodu City and newly promoted Sporting Lagos FC.
The clash was originally scheduled for Sunday, September 6, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena—Lagos’s sole NPFL-approved venue, which is currently shared by three top-flight clubs.
However, the fixture was pushed back to September 30 to accommodate an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally taking place at the stadium over the weekend.
