Fire Engulfs Three Factories in Morocco’s Fahs-Anjra, No Casualties Reported

A major fire broke out Friday afternoon in the TAC 1 industrial zone in Jouamaa, Fahs-Anjra province, damaging three factories without causing any casualties.

According to local authorities, the blaze initially broke out at a factory specializing in the manufacture of automotive filters before spreading to two neighboring industrial units due to strong winds.

Local authorities, security services, and Civil Protection teams immediately mobilized at the site, deploying firefighting equipment to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading further.

All workers and employees at the affected factories and surrounding industrial facilities were evacuated as a precaution. Authorities reported no deaths or injuries.

Firefighting teams remained at the scene Friday afternoon as operations continued to bring the blaze fully under control.

Strong winds and difficult weather conditions complicated the intervention and contributed to the rapid spread of the flames between the industrial units.

Authorities have not yet provided details on the extent of the material damage or the cause of the fire.
