Fenerbahce part ways with Angolan center

Jilson Bango’s agent, Misko Raznatovic, revealed that the Angolan center has parted ways with Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has reportedly parted ways with center Jilson Bango.

Player agent Misko Raznatovic reported the news on X, adding that Bango is expected to fully recover from the serious injury he suffered during AfroBasket last summer in four weeks.

The 27-year-old center did not appear for Fenerbahce this season. Last season, he played in 10 EuroLeague games in a limited role after joining the club midseason from Zaragoza.

Across those 10 EuroLeague appearances, Bango averaged 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds in around seven minutes per game.

Before arriving at Fenerbahce, however, Bango delivered impressive performances in the Spanish League.

He averaged 13.4 points and 5.5 rebounds in 20 minutes per game, showing the production that made him an attractive midseason addition.
