ExxonMobil makes 20th oil discovery in Angola block

ExxonMobil has made the twentieth oil discovery in an offshore Angola block that has already produced more than 2.7 billion barrels over three decades.
• ExxonMobil and its partners have discovered oil at the Vicango Este-01 well off Angola.
• The well encountered about 25 metres of hydrocarbon-bearing sandstone with reported porosity of 22%.
• It is the twentieth discovery in Block 15, which has produced more than 2.7 billion barrels over 30 years.
•No estimate of recoverable oil, development cost, or production date has been disclosed.
