Explosions reported at Egypt’s Damietta Port

An explosion was reported at the liquefied natural gas terminal of Egypt’s Damietta Port, according to Inchcape Shipping Services on Wednesday.

Inchcape stated that the vessels involved in the explosion were relocated outside of the port area.

According to a Reuters report citing two security sources, the incident may have been caused by drones targeting Egyptian gas storage tankers.
