Esenler Erokspor Istanbul Signs Mali Forward Amadou Sow for 2026-27 Season

Esenler Erokspor Istanbul (BSL) has agreed terms with 27-year-old Mali forward Amadou Sow (206cm-107kg-1998, college: UCSB) for the new 2026-27 season. Sow played last season at LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket in the French Betclic ELITE ProA, where he had 8.7ppg and 3.7rpg in three games. He also played for Chemnitz (BBL) in the German league, averaging 12.9ppg and 6.2rpg in 27 games. Sow was named to Eurobasket.com All-German League Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week for his impressive performance. Additionally, he contributed to 15 games in Eurocup, averaging 11.9ppg and 5.2rpg.
Sow has also played professionally in Germany and Slovenia (Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana).
In addition to winning the Slovenian Supercup in 2024, he was also a finalist for the Lou Sownson National Player of the Year Award in 2022 during his college career.
He graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2022, and this will be his fifth season as a professional player.
