Egypt’s Dina Meshref reaches historic WTT quarter-finals

Egypt’s Dina Meshref reached the women’s singles quarter-finals at the WTT Champions Macao tournament on Friday, securing a historic result for the North African player.

Meshref, ranked 34th in the world, defeated American Lily Zhang, the world No. 32, 3-0 in the last 16.

The WTT Champions Macao 2026 tournament is being held at the Macao East Asian Games Dome from Sept. 8 to 13.
