Egypt, Yemen reaffirm strategic partnership as new FM takes office

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation, and Egyptians Abroad, Badr Abdel-Aati, congratulated Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba, on assuming her new post, wishing her success in carrying out her responsibilities.

He also affirmed Egypt’s pride in the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries and its commitment to further strengthening bilateral co-operation and coordination across various fields.

During a telephone conversation, Minister Abdel-Aati reiterated Egypt’s unwavering support for Yemen’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its continued backing for Yemen’s national institutions and legitimate government.

He has reiterated that Cairo remains committed to supporting efforts aimed at restoring security and stability and fulfilling the aspirations of the Yemeni people.

The two ministers stressed the need for a comprehensive political settlement that preserves Yemen’s unity and strengthens regional stability.
