Egypt Name Final 26-Man Squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup – Africa Top Sports

The technical team of the Egypt national football team, led by Hossam Hassan, has officially announced the final 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be staged across the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.

The Pharaohs head into the expanded tournament with a blend of experienced internationals and emerging talents as they prepare for their return to football’s biggest stage.

Among the notable inclusions are captain Mohamed Salah, Omar Marmoush, Mahmoud Trezeguet and Emam Ashour, while goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy leads the options between the posts.

The full squad includes Mohamed El Shenawy, Mostafa Shobier, El Mahdy Soliman, Mohamed Alaa, Mohamed Hany, Tarek Alaa, Hamdy Fathy, Rami Rabia, Yasser Ibrahim, Hossam Abdelmaguid, Mohamed Abdelmonem, Ahmed Fatouh, Karim Hafez, Marwan Attia, Mohannad Lasheen, Nabil Emad Donga, Mahmoud Saber, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Emam Ashour, Mostafa Abdelraouf Ziko, Mahmoud Trezeguet, Ibrahim Adel, Haitham Hassan, Mohamed Salah, Omar Marmoush and Hamza Abdelkarim.

Meanwhile, Oktay Abdullah has been left out of the final squad.

Egypt’s team director Ibrahim Hassan confirmed that the national team delegation will depart for the United States on Saturday evening to continue preparations for the tournament. The Pharaohs are also scheduled to play their final international friendly against Brazil national football team on June 6 in Ohio.

Egypt have been drawn in Group G alongside Belgium national football team, Iran national football team and New Zealand national football team in what will be the first-ever FIFA World Cup to feature 48 national teams.
