Econet Wireless Zimbabwe reports 2% annual growth in mobile subscriptions

Econet Wireless Zimbabwe recorded a 2.11 percent increase in active mobile subscriptions to 16.78 million for the fiscal year ended February 2026, up from 16.43 million in its third quarter. According to the company’s financial statement, the country’s mobile penetration rate rose by 2.21 percentage points to 107.04 percent. Additionally, the latest POTRAZ sector report confirms that Econet has a 73.75 percent share of Zimbabwe’s mobile subscriber market.
