Ebola: Total confirmed cases in DRC now 635

Minister of Public Health, Hygiene and Social Welfare for the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Dr Roger Kamba, reported that as of June 9, 635 cumulative confirmed Ebola cases, including 127 deaths.

In addition, 8 new recoveries were recorded in Nyankunde (7) and Mongbwalu (1), bringing the total to 30 recoveries, including 28 in Ituri and 2 in North Kivu.

The number of recoveries is rising, and contact tracing is improving—61.1% compared to 56.4% yesterday, according to Kamba. The response is intensifying. We are monitoring every area, every alert, and every signal. Vigilance remains high.

Teams remain fully mobilized on the ground in Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu.
