DVIDS – News – 32nd Military Police Company Strengthens Relationship with Papua New Guinea Defence Force During Tamiok Strike 2026

PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea — Soldiers assigned to the 32nd Military Police Company trained alongside members of the Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF) Military Police at Murray Barracks, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, during Exercise Tamiok Strike 2026, a U.S. Army Pacific-led bilateral exercise designed to strengthen interoperability, readiness, and military-to-military relationships.

Throughout the exercise, U.S. Army military police and their PNGDF counterparts exchanged tactics, techniques, and procedures across a variety of law enforcement and force protection disciplines, including vehicle interdiction operations, crime scene security, detainee operations, evidence preservation, tactical communications, personnel searches, and patrol procedures. The training emphasized practical, scenario-based exercises that allowed both forces to share experiences and refine their ability to operate together during security operations.
