DVIDS – Images – Wisconsin National Guard trains Papua New Guinea Defence Force, local civilians on disaster relief

Wisconsin National Guard Soldiers and Airmen, alongside members of the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance and other government agencies and nongovernmental organizations, train Papua New Guinea Defence Force service members and local civilians in humanitarian aid and disaster response relief at Igam Barracks, Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea, August 11-14, 2026. The exercise brought together military, government and humanitarian partners to strengthen disaster response capabilities, improve interoperability and build relationships that can support coordinated responses to future emergencies across Papua New Guinea.
