Deputies search for man wanted in Augusta child cruelty case

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Richmond County deputies are looking for a man wanted for a child cruelty case.

Oniel Gary Cameron, 35, is wanted for cruelty to children in the third degree, criminal damage to property in the first degree, and possession of firearm by convicted felon, according to deputies.

Deputies say the incident happened on the 2000 block of Bridgewater Drive on Thursday.

Cameron has warrants on file with the sheriff’s office at this time.

Deputies say he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Deputies say he is known to drive a black Toyota Sequoia.

He is 6 foot 3 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.
