Deloitte Innovation Hub Expands AI, Engineering and Cybersecurity Capabilities in Egypt
The Deloitte Innovation Hub has invested more than $30 million to date, with an additional $80 million planned over the next three years to expand its digital capabilities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
As organisations across the world accelerate their digital transformation agendas, the focus is increasingly shifting from access to technology to the business value it creates. Technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and cybersecurity are becoming more accessible, but organisations are now seeking to integrate these capabilities into their daily operations to improve decision-making, productivity and measurable business outcomes.

The shift has shaped the growth of the Deloitte Innovation Hub, an initiative of Deloitte established to harness Egypt’s technology talent and strengthen the country’s position as a regional exporter of high-value technology services. Since its launch, the hub has grown from 23 to more than 900 professionals and now supports hundreds of clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and other markets.
The Deloitte Innovation Hub has invested more than $30 million to date, with an additional $80 million planned over the next three years to expand its digital capabilities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The investment forms part of the wider Deloitte Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) network, which comprises 16 member firms across more than 80 countries, 6,000 partners and 132,000 professionals, with declared revenue of €20 billion.
Through its integration with the wider EMEA network, the Deloitte Innovation Hub has access to broader regional expertise and capabilities, supporting collaboration, AI investment and the delivery of complex digital transformation programmes. Its capabilities span engineering, AI, data and cybersecurity, allowing it to design, build and secure enterprise solutions for organisations undergoing digital transformation.
The hub has delivered programmes across multiple sectors, demonstrating how technology capabilities developed in Egypt are creating impact beyond the country’s borders. Its recent industry recognition includes Best New Mobile App at Elevate 2026 for the Virgin Atlantic application, recognition as a Female-Friendly Workplace at the TechUp Women Awards 2025, and a Highly Commended distinction at the Deloitte Impact Awards 2026 for a client project.
In AI and data, the Deloitte Innovation Hub is moving beyond isolated experimentation by developing end-to-end data platforms and deploying bespoke Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions that are integrated into business operations. In the banking and financial services sector, its bespoke GenAI solutions have enabled secure, automated credit risk assessments, reducing processing times from days to minutes.
The hub also focuses on core engineering and workflow automation, designing and building scalable digital platforms across cloud architecture, DevOps and automated testing. Enterprise workflow technologies such as ServiceNow form part of this approach, with training delivered through collaboration between the Deloitte Innovation Hub and the Information Technology Institute (ITI), alongside other specialised training centres.
The hub has also worked with organisations across the Middle East to redesign fragmented workflows, replacing manual processes with integrated digital experiences designed to accelerate service delivery and improve collaboration across telecommunications providers and government entities.
Cybersecurity remains another key area of focus, with the Deloitte Innovation Hub embedding enterprise security, digital privacy and cyber resilience into software and cloud solutions. This approach is intended to help organisations adopt new technologies while protecting critical systems and data from the outset.
Beyond technology delivery, the Deloitte Innovation Hub is also investing in skills development and initiatives aimed at strengthening Egypt’s technology talent pipeline. Its strategic collaborations seek to narrow the gap between education and industry by giving emerging professionals access to practical experience, mentorship and industry guidance.
One such initiative is the NextStep x UNICEF Mentorship Programme, which recently marked the completion of its first cohort and launched a new cohort in July 2026. The programme connects young professionals with experienced mentors to help them develop the skills and confidence required to participate in an increasingly digital economy.
