Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz has opened up about the absence of wingers Velebayi and Pule Mmodi as the team gears up for a busy week in the Betway Premiership.
Following their MTN8 elimination at the hands of Golden Arrows on Sunday evening, Ciefs will play two Betway Premiership home games against Sekhukhune United, on Wednesday night and Mamelodi Sundowns on respectively.

Addressing the media after the loss on Sunday evening at the FNB Stadium, the French mentor also revealed the changes he made to his team.
“Players like Asanele Velebayi or Pule Mmodi, it’s a choice for today but also we have three games in six days so we will need all the squad for these three games because it will be a tough week for us,” Da Cruz told the media.
The 54-year-old mentor also added that they missed their injured players.

“Also today, we miss all the players who are again injured,” Da Cruz explained.
“They make their rehabilitation and but also interest in the players who are available for the moment, and they will come back step by step.”
