Confirmed: Marumo Gallants Sack Mohafe!

Betway Premiership side Marumo Gallants have parted ways with head coach Phuti Mohafe, with immediate effect.

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa officially announced Mohafe’s departure on Wednesday afternoon, barely three months since joining the club from Polokwane City.

Mohafe was sacked along with first assistant coach Musa Bilankulu.

This follows Soccer Laduma’s earlier report that Mohafe missed the team’s training session on Wednesday morning at the Rosina Sedibane Modiba Sports Ground, Pretoria.

“Marumo Gallants F.C. confirms that the club has parted ways with Head Coach Phuti Mohafe and Assistant Coach Musa Bilankulu, with immediate effect,” stated the club.

“The Club will not be commenting further on the circumstances surrounding the decision or engaging on the merits of the matter.

“In the interim, Second Assistant Coach Trevor Mathiane will assume responsibility as Interim Head Coach, while the club continues its search for a new Head Coach.”

This publication has been informed that Marumo Gallants have held talks with former Simba SC coach Dimitar Pantev, who’s set to take over in the next few days, barring any last-minute changes.

Marumo are placed 15th on the Betway Premiership standings, with two draws and three defeats in their five matches this season.
