Colombian singer Sebastian Yatra will headline the main concert of Hispanidad 2026, one of Spain’s most important cultural celebrations, which each year transforms Madrid into a gathering place for the artistic and cultural expressions of the Spanish-speaking world. The artist will perform a free concert on October 10 at Plaza de España, one of the Spanish capital’s most iconic public squares.
Yatra’s performance will establish him as the leading Latin artist in this year’s musical lineup while marking another milestone for Colombia’s presence at the festival. With his appearance, Colombia will complete three consecutive years of headlining the festival’s flagship concert, following Carlos Vives in 2023 and Manuel Turizo in 2024.
The Hispanidad Festival will take place from October 2 to 12 under the slogan “All Spanish Accents Belong in Madrid,” celebrating the cultural diversity of the Spanish-speaking world through an extensive program of free public events.
Sebastian Yatra’s concert will be held on Saturday, October 10, at Plaza de España and will be free to attend, a hallmark that has made the Hispanidad Festival one of Madrid’s most popular annual cultural events.

During the performance, Yatra is expected to perform some of the biggest hits of his career, including “Tacones Rojos,” “Traicionera,” “No Hay Nadie Más,” “Cristina,” and “Dos Oruguitas,” the song he performed for Disney’s animated film Encanto, which further expanded his international recognition.
His selection as the festival’s headlining artist highlights the strong momentum of his career and his continued influence across the Spanish-language music industry. It also reinforces the prominent role Colombian artists continue to play at some of Spain’s most significant cultural events.
More than 150 activities will turn madrid into the capital of hispanic culture
The 2026 edition of Hispanidad will feature more than 150 events across the Community of Madrid. In addition to concerts, the program will include dance performances, theater productions, film screenings, exhibitions, culinary experiences, and parades celebrating the richness and diversity of Hispanic culture.
Among the festival’s other major musical events is a concert by Marta Sánchez, who will celebrate 40 years of her career with a performance on October 11 at Plaza de España. The lineup will also feature legendary Cuban trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, Grammy-winning singer Aymée Nuviola, Cuban artist Cimafunk, Colombian group Los Cumbia Stars, and Spanish performers Lin Cortés, Nat Simons, and Los Nikis.
One of the festival’s most anticipated events will be the Hispanidad Parade, scheduled for October 4, when 15 floats will travel along Madrid’s Gran Vía, showcasing cultural traditions from across the Spanish-speaking world. This year’s parade will include two special floats dedicated to Madrid and the United States, the festival’s guest country.
The United States will also have a prominent presence throughout the festival, with activities highlighting the influence of Hispanic culture on the country’s history and society, as well as performances by the World Street Brass Band from New Orleans, bringing the city’s distinctive jazz and brass band traditions to Madrid.
