Cameron Diaz announced earlier this week that she has become a mom for the third time. The actress’s husband, Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden, took to Instagram on Monday to announce the happy news, writing: “Cameron and I are Happy, Excited, and feeling so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third Child, Nautas Madden. Welcome to the world Son!!
“We love life with our family- our kids are healthy&happy, and we are grateful!!! Having a blast. Sending all our best wishes- the Madden Family.” The couple, who are already parents to a daughter, Raddix, six, and son Cardinal, two, live in California in a house they purchased for £12.7 million in 2022.
Cameron moves to pursue privacy
The move came during The Holiday star Cameron’s retirement from acting, which she announced in 2018. “For me, it was just something I had to do,” she said at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in 2024. “It felt like something I had to do to reclaim my own life. And I just really didn’t care about anything else.
“Nobody’s opinion, nobody’s success, no one’s offer, no one’s anything could change my mind about my decision of taking care of myself and building the life that I really wanted to have.
“It really comes to: What are you passionate about? For me, it was to build my family.”
Inside Cameron and Benji’s family home
The family of four moved from Beverly Hills to Montecito for a more secluded way of life, though their home still exudes Hollywood star energy. It sits over 10,800 square feet, and, according to Vogue Australia, features six en-suite bedrooms and seven full-sized bathrooms, as well as an open-plan kitchen and living area.
Elsewhere, an at-home cinema, a spa room, and a pool are on offer. The property really does have it all, with a previous listing talking up its “ocean, island, and mountain views”.
A handy second home
Though Cameron moved to Montecito for a quieter life, her acting hiatus came to an end in 2024 when she returned to the set to star in Netflix’s aptly titled Back in Action alongside Jamie Foxx.
She also has future acting projects lined up, including Shrek 5, in which she’ll reprise the voice acting role of Princess Fiona, and an untitled Troop Beverly Hills sequel.
Rather handily, the Charlie’s Angels star still owns her Beverly Hills farmhouse, which she and Benji bagged in 2020 for $14.7 million.
