Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met with Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs, on Sunday to coordinate efforts on the political crisis in Libya.
According to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the talks focused on breaking the political deadlock. Abdelatty reiterated Cairo’s “steadfast position” on maintaining Libya’s territorial integrity.
He emphasized that any viable solution must come through an inter-Libyan path leading to simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections.
On his part, Boulos underscored Washington’s commitment to maintaining close consultation with Egypt, noting that regional stability remains a shared priority for both nations.
