Black Queens drawn against Ecuador, Uzbekistan and Papua New Guinea in World Cup play-off

Ghana’s Black Queens have been handed a challenging route in their bid to secure a place at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027.

The Black Queens will compete in the Preliminary Phase of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Play-Off Tournament, scheduled to take place from November 24 to December 5, 2026.

Ghana will open its campaign against Ecuador on Matchday One before facing Uzbekistan on Matchday Two.

The Black Queens will conclude the preliminary phase against Papua New Guinea on Matchday Three.

Having secured a place in the World Cup play-off tournament, the Black Queens will be determined to navigate the preliminary phase successfully and keep their Brazil 2027 qualification hopes alive.
