Ancelotti plans Brazil team build using FIFA windows for 2030

Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has announced plans to utilise FIFA international windows to develop a strong and cohesive national team with the 2030 FIFA World Cup as the main objective. The Italian coach emphasised the need to balance experienced players with new talent to create a competitive squad for future tournaments, according to a statement from the All India Football Federation.

“We have to make a balanced list, with players who played in the last campaign and young players who can bring new energy to the team. The idea is to build something for the future without losing our competitiveness,” Ancelotti said.

Identifying young players capable of advancing to the senior team is a critical part of this strategy. The coaching staff is collaborating with youth national team coaches to monitor emerging talent who could contribute in major competitions such as the Copa América and the World Cup.

“We are looking at young players with potential. We are working together with the youth teams because we want to know which players can help the national team in the future. We have to give them the opportunity when they are ready,” Ancelotti added.

The technical team has expanded its scouting to include players from various leagues, highlighting the importance of current form and fitness regardless of club location. Among the current squad, 10 players compete in the Brazilian Championship.

“We are watching players everywhere. It is not important where they play. What is important is their condition, their quality and what they can give to the national team,” the coach stated.

With a four-year preparation period, Ancelotti stressed the importance of patience and effectively using FIFA windows alongside limited training time with the players.

“We have four years, so we have time to work. We have to be patient and use the FIFA windows well. We don’t have much time together, but we have enough time to prepare a team with a clear idea and a strong collective,” he said.

The overall goal is to gradually construct a revitalised Brazil squad built around the talents of the emerging generation while maintaining the competitive standards associated with the national team.
