Amrouta surprises everyone: Al-Ahly’s line-up against El Sharqia Enppi at kick-off

Morocco’s Hossein Ammouta, the technical director of Al-Ahly, has named his side to face El Sharkia Enppi. The two teams meet this Sunday evening at Cairo International Stadium in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Al-Ahly are looking to put last season’s disappointment behind them after losing the league title. Victory over El Sharkia Enppi would hand them their first three points and a strong start to the campaign.

The line-up came with a few surprises. Chief among them was Moroccan striker Sofiane Bengdiddah dropping to the substitutes’ bench, alongside veteran goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy.

Ammouta handed Algeria’s Bekrar a starting role, with Karim Fouad at left-back and Ahmed Mostafa “Zizo” in midfield.

Below is Al-Ahly’s line-up against El Sharkia Enppi:

– Goalkeeper: Mostafa Shobier.

– Defence: Karim Fouad – Amr El Gazzar – Hadi Riad – Mohamed Hany.

– Midfield: Ahmed Nabil Koka – Marwan Attia – Ahmed Mostafa “Zizo”.

– Attack: Achraf Bencharki – Bekrar – Taher Mohamed Taher.

Named among the substitutes are: “Mohamed El Shenawy, Yasser Ibrahim, Sofiane Bengdiddah, Akram Tawfik, Hussein El Shahat, Mohamed Magdy “Afsha”, Ali Mahmoud, Aktay Abdallah, and Karim El Debies”.

Over on the other side, Mohamed Barakat, the technical director of El Sharkia Enppi, has named his own team to face Al-Ahly. His line-up includes Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”, the former Al-Ahly star.

El Sharkia Enppi’s line-up against Al-Ahly was as follows:

– Goalkeeper: Abdel Rahman Samir.

– Defence: Hazem Temsah – Seif El Khashab – Ahmed Kaloucha – Mohamed Hamdy.

– Midfield: Ahmed Ismail – Mohamed Essam – Ali Ehab.

– Attack: Ahmed Nader Hawash – Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba” – Emad Mihoub.
