Limpopo club Polokwane City has snatched Vuyo Kopamotse, Tshepang “Jali” Matube, and Mthetho Mosotho.
Meanwhile, Kwanda Lupalule, Felix Noge, and Rehlohonolofaditswe Thulo have all joined Siwelele FC ahead of the 2026/27 season, much to the delight of the Mangaung Unite family.
“There are a lot of things going on in and around the club, and unfortunately we couldn’t get promoted,” Mangaung Unite chief executive Katlego Mokgele tells Soccer Laduma.
“But there are silver linings, and the reason why we are in football, I guess, is to give opportunities to boys from the Free State and around the country.
“Obviously we would have hoped for promotion to the NFD, and we are gunning for it, but the boys have done enough to earn themselves contracts with PSL clubs. So as the club, we are very happy and proud of them. We wish them nothing but the best. May their successes breed more interest in our players in the future as well.”

Mokgele added that Mangaung Unite has benefited from its sound scouting network.
“As management and the technical team, we watch a lot of football. We watch a lot of teams that we are competing with, teams in lower levels, and sometimes teams in other provinces as well. My belief is that there’s a lot of talent in South Africa; it just doesn’t get opportunities.
“Players want a place where they believe they have a chance at PSL or they have a chance at NFD, and Mangaung Unite is one of those clubs.”
