AIKO to supply modules for Egypt’s Nefer Benban project

AIKO, a China-based solar module manufacturer, has signed a module supply agreement with Egypt’s Infinity Power for the Nefer Benban solar project in Aswan Governorate. The project includes 259 MW of solar PV capacity integrated with a 120 MWh battery energy storage system. Infinity Power is a joint venture between UAE-based Masdar and Egypt’s Infinity Energy. AIKO stated all modules will be delivered within one month of signing the agreement. The project is expected to connect to the grid in Q4 2026. According to AIKO, the modules could generate around 471.6 GWh of electricity annually over the project lifecycle. The EBRD previously agreed to provide up to $70 million in senior debt financing for the project.
