Aguirre set to light up Texas. Dubins-Ramme seek second USA title of the year

Argentine talent Tolito Aguirre is ready to shine in the FIP Silver Mcallen Texas. The No. 32 player in the FIP Ranking leads the men’s draw alongside Antonio “Pincho” Fernandez, who has won the FIP Silver in Dublin and the FIP Bronze in Mallorca this year. Aguirre is one of the most recognisable players worldwide: the beauty and creativity of his game have made him one of the most popular players in padel. This year, he reached a prestigious semi-final at the Premier Padel P2 in Cancun, Mexico. In recent months, he has reached the last 16 at the P1 events in Malaga and Pretoria. Challenging them for the title will be the No. 2 seeds at this CUPRA FIP Tour event, Mexicans Agustin Torre and Diego Arredondo. Also in the spotlight in the United States are the pairs Mateo Alvarez-Kevin Uriel Kviatkovski, Borja Trujillo-Miguel Morales and Fabricio Parra-Gonzalo Sassano.

After reaching the final of the prestigious FIP Gold San Luis, held in Mexico last week, home player Brittany Dubins and Camila Ramme will be looking to bounce back by claiming the Texas title. The pair have already shown a strong affinity with the US: in May, they won the FIP Bronze in Miami. In addition, in 2026 Dubins and Ramme, the No. 2 seeds in Texas, have also triumphed together at the FIP Silver in Palermo and the FIP Bronze in Hamburg. The pair leading the women’s draw are Carla Fernandez and Nerea Guerra. Also in contention are Lucia Perez-Clarinha Santos and Aitana Garcia-Ainize Santamaria. The main draw of the tournament will begin on Thursday 27 August and conclude on Sunday 30 August, when the finals will be played.
