Africa’s strongest military concludes air war exercise with China featuring simulated enemy strikes and acrobatic fighter jet maneuvers

Since August 22, Business Insider Africa has reported extensively on the joint military air training dubbed “Eagles of Civilization 2026.” However, Egypt and China have now officially announced that the training concluded on September 7, 2026.

The military exercise featured multi-role fighter jets of various types and capabilities from both nations operating across several Egyptian air bases.

To kick off the training program, the participating forces held theoretical lectures aimed at standardizing vital concepts and strengthening cooperation between the two forces.

Once this initial phase was complete, fighter jets took to the skies to run simulated missions.

These included practicing offensive strikes against designated enemy targets, conducting defensive maneuvers to protect key assets, and performing aerial refueling operations.

According to a report by Egypt Today, the two nations “demonstrated a high level of professionalism,” which underscored the “strong coordination and cooperation between the two air forces in executing joint air operations efficiently“.

These military drills are part of Egypt’s broader initiative to conduct joint training with international partners.
