GatesAir has opened a new office and operations center in Pouso Alegre, Minas Gerais, establishing its first local presence in Brazil in more than 10 years. The company said the new facility, GatesAir Brasil Ltda., will provide assembly, service, repair and customer support for its radio and television transmission products. GatesAir said the operation will also support customers across Central and Latin America.
Located in Brazil’s “Electronics Valley” between São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, the facility will allow GatesAir to assemble products locally and provide technical support and repair services from within the country.
Barbara Spicek, CEO of GatesAir, said, “Brazil is a cornerstone market for GatesAir and an important part of our long-term growth strategy across Central and Latin America. This investment strengthens our regional presence while bringing us closer to customers at a critical point in the industry’s evolution.”
