Ahead of this weekend’s Soweto Derby, here are 10 of the most valuable stars, with Orlando Pirates players leading ahead of rivals Kaizer Chiefs.

Appollis has not had the best of starts to the season, but he remains the Buccaneers’ most valuable player at the moment.

Pirates have eight players in the top 10 of the most valuable players from both sides, and it has a lot to do with what the club has achieved over the last few years, as well as being part of the Bafana Bafana squad.

The Buccaneers have quite a few players who have been representing Bafana Bafana and have played in major competitions such as the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and FIFA World Cup. This raises their value as players.
