ZIG/USD: Zimbabwe Won’t Rush US Dollar Phase-Out Until Inflation Stabilizes

Zimbabwe won’t rush to phase out the US dollar and make the ZiG its sole currency until it is confident that inflation is under control and the exchange rate is stable.

“We are not rushing to a single currency until we have a stable exchange rate, stable inflation,” Secretary for Finance George Guvamatanga told business leaders at a budget review meeting in the capital, Harare, on Wednesday.
