YeneHealth, St. Paul Millennium Hospital launch “Walk For Her Health 2025,” Calling for National Focus on Women’s Health
YeneHealth, Ethiopia’s pioneering femtech company, and St. Paul Millennium Hospital are joining forces to host the third annual “Walk For Her Health” event on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Entoto Park. The initiative, held during National Women’s Health Week, aims to rally thousands in support of advancing women’s health across Ethiopia.
What began as a simple awareness walk has evolved into a full-day health festival, featuring free health screenings, fitness sessions, yoga, massages, and educational booths. The event is designed to break down barriers in access, stigma, and education, empowering women to take charge of their health and well-being.
This year’s “Walk For Her Health” is officially endorsed by the Ethiopian Ministry of Health and will feature keynote addresses from Dr. Maramawit Asfaw, Director of Women’s and Children’s Affairs at the Ministry, and senior representatives from St. Paul Millennium Hospital. Organizers expect more than 120,000 visitors, with free transportation and services provided for all attendees.
Interactive zones and vendor booths will showcase clinics, wellness providers, and community partners, while event T-shirts will be available for purchase to support future health programs. The event is supported by sponsors including MSI Ethiopia, SPIRHR, Egender Health, and Mpesa, with media partners LinkUp Addis, Sheger FM, and FM 96.7 amplifying the message nationwide.
YeneHealth, founded in 2021, is Ethiopia’s first femtech startup, offering digital health solutions such as menstrual and pregnancy tracking, telehealth consultations, and an online pharmacy with delivery. The company’s mission is to make healthcare more accessible, affordable, and culturally relevant for Ethiopian women.
Organizers emphasize that “Walk For Her Health 2025” is more than an event-it’s a movement to prioritize women’s health and build a stronger, healthier future for all Ethiopians.
